lots of eBook improvements
Most of the people writing about zinepal.com always describe the ability to create PDFs from web content. But zinepal.com has also been able to create Mobipocket eBooks for quite some time. Mobipocket is the eBook file format used by the Amazon Kindle and other eBooks readers. It has been around for a long time and is proprietary in nature. Initially zinepal.com didn't support including images in the Mobipocket eBooks, only text was included. Now zinepal.com has been updated to also include images in Mobipocket files. This is a nice improvement, since the Kindle does support grayscale images.
Another new feature is support for the ePub file format. ePub is an open eBook file format created by the International Digital Publishing Forum. It is the eBook file format used by the Sony eBook readers, such as the Sony PRS505 and Sony PRS700. Owners of Sony eBook readers and other ePub compatible devices and software should be very happy about this new feature.
In summary, zinepal.com now supports the following file formats - with text and images in all of them:
- PDF for printing, e-mailing and reading on your computer
- Mobipocket for the Amazon Kindle and other Mobipocket compatible software/devices
- ePub for the Sony eBook readers (PRS505, PRS700, etc) and other ePub compatible software/devices
If you are using an eBook reader please leave a comment to let me know how it's working for you!

Dell Axim X51V
Hello Frank,
Zinepal has given me the opportunity to finally back up my various blogs and ramblings into an ebook and pdf format. Initially I had some confusion about why only 25 entries would be fetched, and then worked that out with the ?max-results=xxx addition to my URL.
This is a unique and excellent utility and very timely for the Kindle generation, I am still of the Pocket-PC generation, live out here in Gibsons, BC and like my Mobibook on my Axim. Kindle is too big and of course, phones are too small, so Pocket-PC is just about right.
The 50 entry imports from Blogspot I have done today look good on my 3.7" Axim screen, one thing you may want to consider in future plans is to centre all images if that is not already enabled and I've missed it.
Once again, thank you for your efforts.

Excited about Zinepal
Sorry, can't find a contact form, but I loved this tool so much that I reviewed it on my writing blog - http://www.getpaidtowriteonline.com/ebook-publishing-zinepal/. It is the easiest way to create an ebook/ezine I have come across. Thanks
Sharon
ZINEPAL for Facebook, an original idea from Italy
Hi Frank, my name's Marco, I'm 35 and I'm from Italy.
Being an active Facebook user (you can find me on http://www.facebook.com/marchino ), I have been thinking of an app that would let me compile an online PDF (with "flippable" pages and stuff to make it look and feel like a real, multimedia, diary) based on my daily Facebook activities.
This software could ask the user to specify a certain period of time, let's say the last 4 months, and "crawl" my activities (posts, published videos that PDF supports, taken tests, pictures, comments from friends) to automatically organize the material and create a PDF/downloadable diary accordingly. Covers should be customizable as well, and so should be the format of the pages or the "virtual paper" color. Addictional notes could be written on every page too.
You could also think of selling some advertisement on some pages, and sell a premium version of the service with no ads at all.
I think that this service could be something really new and useful for people wanting to read their own diary from time to time, based on what they wrote and did on FB. Also, recovering previous posts from someone's FB profile is a time-taking tasks, so combining automatic crawling + PDF creation would provide a double function that so many people are asking for.
Hope this sounds like a fresh and 100% original idea, I would love to get some feedback from you!
